New in DataMagic: Co-Term Licensing visibility for your Meraki estate
If you manage Meraki networks, you’ll know the quiet headache of co-termination licensing — every device licence in an organisation blends into one shared expiration date. It’s tidy in principle, but it makes a simple question surprisingly hard to answer: “What have we actually got, and when does it run out?”
DataMagic now answers that for you, across your whole estate, on one page.
The Co-Term Licensing page
The new Co-Term Licensing page brings every co-term licence claim into a single, searchable, sortable view. Each row is one licence claim event — the licence key, how it was claimed, its duration, the devices it covers, and (most usefully) the calculated expiration date worked out from the start date plus the term.
The data refreshes daily straight from Meraki, so what you see reflects your live licensing position without anyone logging into the Meraki Dashboard.
Scope it to exactly what you need
Use the Estate Tree on the left to set your scope:
- Home — every Meraki organisation you manage
- Organization — drill into a single organisation
…then narrow further with the table filters, search, and sorting. Anything you can see, you can download.
Check your renewal position at a glance
The table is built around the questions you actually ask. A few columns worth mentioning are:
- Expiration — colour-coded so renewals are highlighted:
red if already expired,
amber within 30 days,
blue within 90 days. - Status — green for active licences, red for expired or invalidated.
- License Key — with a one-click copy.
- Mode —
addDevices(new devices claimed) orrenew(extending the co-term date). - Editions and Counts — exactly which editions and product types you hold, and how many of each device model (e.g.
MX Enterprise: 5).
The colour-coding turns “when does anything expire?” into a five-second glance.
Dig into a single licence
Double-click any row to open the detail popup:
- Four summary panels across the top — Status (with the claim mode beneath), Duration, Started, and an Expiration countdown showing days remaining (or days since expiry).
- Details — licence key, Meraki organisation ID, claimed date and (if relevant) invalidated date, alongside an Editions table. Copyable fields have a clipboard icon.
- Device Counts — a per-model breakdown of exactly what the licence covers (e.g.
MX Enterprise,MR Advanced).
Why we think you’ll like it
- No more spreadsheet juggling — your co-term position, kept current daily.
- Renewals you can see coming — amber and blue flags give you runway, not surprises.
- Estate-wide or laser-focused — one organisation or all of them, your choice.
